Hollywood actor Will Ferrell is being sought after for a guest appearance on the popular show ‘The Simpsons’. Showrunner Matt Selman is determined to have the 58-year-old actor join the ranks of celebrities who have graced the long-running animated series. A-listers like Sir Paul McCartney, Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, and the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor have all been part of the show since its debut in 1989.
Selman expressed his eagerness by stating, “Come on, Will. We keep writing great stuff for you,” as reported by ‘People’ magazine. Actress Lindsay Lohan previously lent her voice to an older version of Maggie Simpson in an episode titled Parahormonal Activity. Lindsay Lohan, who was 39 at the time, described her involvement with ‘The Simpsons’ as a “dream come true.”
Recently, ‘The Simpsons’ aired its 800th episode, ‘Irrational Treasure’, featuring guest appearances by actor Kevin Bacon, record producer Questlove, and actress Quinta Brunson. The episode’s plot revolves around funny travel scenarios set in Philadelphia and parodies of adventure movies. Selman credited the show’s writers for the creative ideas, highlighting a memorable moment in the milestone episode.
