A young woman was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances at a homestay near Muddenahalli in Karnataka’s Chikkaballapur district. Her boyfriend, identified as Sanjeet Ali, was found unconscious and has been hospitalized. Police are investigating whether the incident is a case of murder, suicide, or poisoning.
The couple had been staying at the homestay for three days before the incident. Inside the room, investigators found a rope, several tablets, signs of vomiting, and a pillow. However, there were no visible external injuries or blood-related injuries on the woman’s body, complicating the determination of the cause of death.
Chikkaballapur Superintendent of Police, Kushal Chowksi, mentioned that it is too early to conclude if the incident was a murder or suicide. The exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis. Officials are waiting for Sanjeet Ali to recover consciousness for his statement to be recorded.
Police are exploring various possibilities, including whether the woman was murdered, poisoned, or died by suicide. The investigation is ongoing, and the case’s direction will be guided by the post-mortem findings, forensic evidence, and the statement of the surviving man once he is able to provide it.
