On International Women’s Day, women in Jammu expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing schemes that empower women nationwide. They credited these initiatives for offering better opportunities and platforms to pursue their aspirations. Previously limited in opportunities, women now benefit from government support and awareness programs, fostering confidence and financial independence.

India’s progress in the startup sector was highlighted, with women actively contributing in various fields like handicrafts, Basohli painting, shawls, Khadi, and entrepreneurship. The government’s encouragement of such endeavors and provision of a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs were acknowledged. Many women commended PM Modi’s administration for taking significant steps to enhance women’s participation in economic and social development.

Residents of Jammu, including Prabha Khurana, noted a heightened focus on women’s progress in recent years. They emphasized the shift towards women managing households and running businesses, attributing it to increased awareness and government support. Various women entrepreneurs shared their positive experiences, expressing gratitude for the government’s assistance in expanding their work and encouraging other women to pursue their passions.
