Women parliamentarians and leaders gathered at the ‘Bharati–Nari to Narayani’ national convention in New Delhi to celebrate International Women’s Day. BJP MP Kavita Patidar commended the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti for organizing the event, showcasing Indian women’s strength and government efforts towards empowerment.
Patidar highlighted the symbolic significance of women in Indian society, referencing Lord Shiva’s representation as Ardhanarishwar. Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma praised the convention for fostering dialogue and social engagement among women, stressing the importance of such gatherings in today’s changing society.
BJP MP Sumitra Balmik discussed the cultural aspects highlighted during the convention, where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and V. Shanta Akka guided discussions on various legacies. BJP leader Sandhya Verma extended greetings on the theme ‘Nari Tu Narayani,’ emphasizing the growing strength and empowerment of women in India.
The convention aimed to bring together women leaders, parliamentarians, and social workers to explore women’s role in society and the nation, emphasizing cultural and traditional values.
