Spanish President Pedro Sanchez, Mauritian Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam, and Seychelles Vice President Sebastien Pillay have arrived in New Delhi to attend the AI Impact Summit 2026, highlighting the potential of artificial intelligence. Indian ministers warmly welcomed these global leaders, showcasing India’s dedication to fostering international collaboration in AI, digital partnerships, and cultural exchange.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) greeted the visiting dignitaries, emphasizing the significance of the Summit. President Sanchez’s visit is expected to enhance the ongoing celebrations of the India-Spain Dual Year of Culture, Tourism, and AI. The Mauritian Prime Minister was also warmly received, with digital cooperation being a key aspect of the Enhanced Strategic Partnership between India and Mauritius.
Furthermore, the Vice President of Seychelles, Sebastien Pillay, received a warm welcome upon his arrival in New Delhi. The Summit, which has attracted participants from over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, aims to align AI initiatives with India’s national vision of welfare and happiness for all, along with the global principle of AI for Humanity.
The India-AI Impact Summit 2026, the fourth in its series, serves as a platform for leaders to deliberate on the ethical, economic, and social implications of AI while strengthening partnerships in digital technology, culture, tourism, and maritime cooperation. The event underscores the importance of collaboration and inclusive AI-driven development, with more dignitaries expected to join the Summit later in the day.
