Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to West Bengal, criticized the Mamata Banerjee government for leading the state towards decline. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections, slated for May 4. Adityanath, addressing a large rally in Jorasanko, blamed Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee for West Bengal’s alleged decline from prosperity to hardship.
The public gathering, attended by numerous BJP supporters, displayed banners urging Yogi Adityanath to bring change. Adityanath, highlighting West Bengal’s cultural heritage and economic strength of the past, pledged to revive the state’s legacy and transform it into “Sonar Bangla.” He emphasized the importance of safeguarding the state’s identity and combating extremist influences.
Yogi Adityanath contrasted West Bengal’s current situation with Uttar Pradesh’s progress, citing the latter’s transformation from chaos and unrest to stability and growth. He pointed out the closure of thousands of industries in West Bengal, leading to widespread unemployment, and criticized the state government for its alleged negligence towards addressing these challenges. Adityanath also highlighted the improved law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh compared to the past.
