Amid the Ram temple donation theft row, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya and accused previous governments of allowing namaz at Hanuman Garhi while neglecting the city’s development. He inaugurated 217 projects worth over Rs 432 crore during his visit, emphasizing the city’s transformation under his governance.
Yogi Adityanath highlighted Ayodhya’s long neglect despite its significance as a holy city in Hinduism. He mentioned the city’s revival as a spiritual, cultural, and tourism center, attributing the progress to clear policies and determined governance. The Chief Minister also praised the development of infrastructure in Ayodhya, including the establishment of an international airport named after Maharishi Valmiki.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, Ayodhya has been developed as a solar city, reflecting its status as the capital of the Suryavansh. Yogi Adityanath announced the renaming of Bhadarsa to Bharatpur-Bharatkund to honor Lord Ram’s younger brother, Bharat. He expressed pride in Ayodhya’s transformation and its historical significance as the birthplace of Lord Ram.
