Ahead of the New Year, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath penned an open letter to state residents, highlighting the achievements in AI and governance in 2025. He urged the youth to commit to spreading computer awareness among children in the upcoming year. Adityanath emphasized the importance of dedicating time to ‘Gyan Daan’ (knowledge donation) by enlightening at least five children about computers and AI weekly.
In his letter, Adityanath acknowledged the advancements made in technology, AI, and data in 2025, setting new standards for innovation. He praised Uttar Pradesh for its progress towards forward-looking development, establishing the state as a trusted destination for investors globally. The Chief Minister emphasized the significance of good governance in ensuring a safe environment for investments and enhancing the state’s reputation as a hub for investor confidence.
Adityanath outlined future initiatives focusing on technology, AI, and data innovation, including plans to establish an ‘AI City’ in Lucknow and Noida. He mentioned the construction of a semiconductor unit in Jewar worth Rs 3,700 crore and the positive outcomes of the data centre policy. The state has initiated the commercial use of five hyperscale data centre parks with a target investment of Rs 30,000 crore, along with the establishment of software technology parks in nine cities, leading in drones, robotics, and mobile production.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the ‘AI Pragya’ program, providing AI training to ten lakh citizens and generating numerous job opportunities. Adityanath called for citizens’ collaboration with the government to achieve the vision of ‘Viskit Uttar Pradesh.’
