Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his visit to Japan, addressed the Indian diaspora in Tokyo. He emphasized that his government has transformed the state from “darkness to development” by improving law and order, infrastructure, and power supply. Adityanath highlighted the state’s journey towards progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, positioning Uttar Pradesh as a significant player in India’s development.
Adityanath pointed out the state’s advancements in various sectors, making it an attractive investment destination. He mentioned the state’s cultural events like Deepotsav in Ayodhya and Holi celebrations in Mathura and Vrindavan as symbols of positive change. The Chief Minister also discussed the blending of modern infrastructure with tradition, citing the redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham as an example.
During the event, Adityanath extended Holi greetings to the Indian diaspora in Japan and emphasized the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage. He encouraged Indians in Japan to contribute to the development of both countries. Adityanath also highlighted the significance of Uttar Pradesh Day and the state’s pride in promoting its heritage, showcasing the growth in the number of lamps lit during Deepotsav in Ayodhya over the years.
The cultural program at the event featured performances by young members of the Indian community, showcasing classical and devotional themes inspired by Ayodhya and Kashi traditions. The Chief Minister praised their talent and later engaged in a photo session with the performers, where chants of “Yogi, Yogi” filled the venue.
