Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was handed the aerodrome license for the Noida International Airport (NIA) by the Government of India. This license signifies a significant step towards the prompt commencement of operations at the Jewar airport, as informed by a delegation from the Noida airport. The delegation highlighted to the Chief Minister that with the issuance of the license, the process for the airport’s inauguration and the initiation of commercial flight services will now progress swiftly.
A delegation from the Noida International Airport met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow to present the aerodrome license issued by the Government of India. The Chief Minister’s Office shared on social media that this license will expedite the airport’s inauguration and the commencement of commercial flights. During the meeting, the delegation also updated the Chief Minister on the project’s advancements and the upcoming phases of development.
The delegation, led by Airport Chief Executive Officer Christoph Schnellmann, along with other senior officials, briefed the Chief Minister on the project’s progress and the forthcoming stages. Following the acquisition of the aerodrome license, the final phase of regulatory approvals is currently in progress. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security is reviewing the airport’s Aerodrome Security Programme, and upon receiving security clearance, the airport management will collaborate with all relevant authorities to finalize the formal inauguration date and the commencement of commercial operations.
