Yuvraj Samra, the 19-year-old Canadian cricketer who recently made headlines with a remarkable 110 off 65 balls at the Men’s T20 World Cup in Chennai, is now honing his skills in Mumbai. Under the guidance of coach Jwala Singh, known for nurturing Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, Samra has been training rigorously since February 21.
Singh, impressed by Samra’s talent and adaptability, highlighted the young batter’s strong hands and straight bat. Samra, grateful for the opportunity to practice on different wickets in Mumbai, emphasized the importance of facing varied challenges to improve his game.
Having transitioned from snowy conditions in Canada to playing on different pitches in India, Samra’s ability to adapt has caught Singh’s attention. The coach praised Samra’s mental strength and adaptability, noting his exceptional performance across various surfaces during practice sessions in Mumbai.
