In Giridih district, Jharkhand, a youth named Sanjay Rajak climbed a nearly 200-foot-high mobile tower, demanding that his family arrange his marriage with his girlfriend. This incident, reminiscent of a scene from the movie Sholay, attracted a large crowd and caused panic in Motileda village.
Sanjay Rajak’s actions led to villagers gathering at the spot, prompting the police to intervene swiftly. Despite pleas from authorities and locals, he remained adamant about his demand for immediate marriage. This event is part of a series of similar incidents in Jharkhand recently, posing challenges for law enforcement.
The trend of emotionally charged public displays on mobile towers has been on the rise in Jharkhand, with this being the fourth such incident in the last fifteen days. After hours of persuasion, Sanjay was safely brought down from the tower and taken to the police station for further proceedings and counseling with his family.
