In Jammu, MY Bharat organized a district round of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament at the Government PG College in Rajouri. The event aimed to provide a platform for young individuals to discuss ideas, debate critical issues, and reflect on India’s constitutional journey. Participants focused on the theme “50 Years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy,” emphasizing the significance of upholding democratic institutions and fundamental rights.
The program, coordinated by MY Bharat Rajouri’s Nitin Hangloo and Government PG College Rajouri’s Khaleeq Ahmed, saw enthusiastic participation. Anwer Shah, the Principal of Government PG College Rajouri, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. A panel of distinguished judges evaluated participants based on content, clarity, confidence, and understanding of democratic values, including individuals like Mehmood Bajjar and Bashir Ahmed.
Top qualifiers from the district round will progress to the state level, with the top three performers competing at the national level in the Indian Parliament. This opportunity allows them to represent their region nationally and contribute to the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’ The ‘MY Bharat’ initiative plans to introduce new features and initiatives to expand its impact, focusing on engaging with educational institutions and youth organizations.
