YSR Congress Party’s Rajya Sabha MP, Y.V. Subba Reddy, and Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy have initiated discussions in Parliament regarding the Mega District Selection Committee-2025 recruitment for 16,000 teacher posts in Andhra Pradesh. Gurumoorthy raised the issue in the Lok Sabha through an adjournment motion, while Y.V. Subba Reddy brought it up in the Rajya Sabha under Rule 267, emphasizing the risks faced by over 3.5 lakh teacher aspirants due to irregularities.

Y.V. Subba Reddy highlighted in the Rajya Sabha the significance of addressing concerns related to the Mega DSC candidates in Andhra Pradesh, drawing parallels with issues discussed concerning NEET aspirants. He emphasized the impact on the future of educated unemployed youth, the credibility of public institutions, and the need for equality in public employment.

The MPs pointed out various irregularities in the recruitment process, such as procedural violations, lack of transparency, and concerns over paper leaks and recruitment-for-money charges. They called for an independent investigation by the Union government, preservation of digital evidence, and reforms to ensure fairness and transparency in public recruitment examinations.

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, previously demanded a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC exam and recruitment process. He expressed shock over the revelations and accused the government of betraying candidates through scams, adversely affecting talented aspirants’ lives. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the recruitment process as unprecedentedly disastrous.
