YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly using Tirumala temple for personal political gains. Reddy claimed that Naidu lacked devotion and sincerity towards temple administration, compromising its sanctity. He highlighted concerns over recent decisions affecting the temple’s reputation and criticized Naidu’s appointments.
In a social media post, Reddy emphasized the sacred responsibility of managing Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam temples. He stressed the need for individuals with impeccable character to lead such holy institutions. Reddy accused Naidu of prioritizing political interests over the temple’s dignity and sanctity, leading to decisions that brought disrepute.
Referring to allegations against TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Reddy mentioned a complaint by a woman accusing the chairman of misconduct. Despite these serious accusations, Naidu allegedly appointed the same individual as TTD Chairman, disregarding the temple’s sanctity. Reddy criticized Naidu for neglecting genuine devotion and sincerity towards Lord Venkateswara, questioning his commitment to temple sanctity.
Reddy also raised concerns about the quality of ghee used in Tirumala Laddu prasadam during Naidu’s tenure. He alleged that low-quality ghee rejected by the TTD laboratory was later used in the prasadam, compromising its standards. Reddy accused Naidu of manipulating ghee contracts for personal gain, raising pricing concerns and highlighting a lack of seriousness in protecting temple traditions.
