Yuvraj Sandhu shot a 1-under 71 to secure a Top-10 position at the Turkish Open on the DP World Tour in Turkey. Shubhankar Sharma, despite a challenging finish with five dropped shots in five holes, also made the cut. Sharma, with a 3-over 75, is now tied at 57th place, having birdied four times and bogeyed twice before the difficult stretch.
Sandhu, in his debut season on the DP World Tour, managed birdies on the fourth, eighth, 11th, and 14th holes but faced setbacks on the seventh, 13th, and 17th. Meanwhile, Gregorio De Leo leads by one shot after carding five birdies and one bogey in his second round, setting the clubhouse target at seven under at National Golf Club.
De Leo, aiming for his first tour win after earning his playing rights at Qualifying School, holds the 36-hole lead. Alejandro Del Rey and Jens Dantorp, initially tied with De Leo, slipped to second place along with Kazuma Kobori and Sam Bairstow at six under. Mikael Lindberg, the first-round leader, stands at five under in sixth place after a second round 73.
Defending champion Martin Couvra also made the cut at one over, ensuring his presence in the tournament’s later stages.
