Zimbabwe Cricket has revealed a 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with Sikandar Raza appointed as the captain for the upcoming tournament. The team, set to participate in the event co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, maintains a sense of continuity in its selection.
The squad sees the return of fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, who joins the team after the T20I triangular series in Pakistan. Muzarabani will lead the pace attack alongside Richard Ngarava, supported by Bradley Evans and Tinotenda Maposa. The spin department features the experienced Graeme Cremer and Wellington Masakadza.
In the batting lineup, young talents like Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani will aim to shine on the global stage. Brendan Taylor, the seasoned wicketkeeper-batter, brings his wealth of experience to bolster the team’s top order. All-rounder Ryan Burl adds depth with his power-hitting and leg-spin abilities.
Zimbabwe, placed in Group B, is scheduled to face Australia, Ireland, Oman, and Sri Lanka in the initial stage. The top two teams from the group will progress to the Super Eight stage. The team’s campaign kicks off against Oman on February 9 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo, followed by matches against Australia, Ireland, and Sri Lanka.
