Zinc Football Academy (ZFA) and Mumbay FC played to an exciting 2-2 draw in their recent I-League 3 Group B match at the SAI Turf Ground in Imphal. Initially challenged by Mumbay FC’s strong start, ZFA adjusted tactics midway through the first half from a 4-1-4-1 to a 4-4-2 formation to counter the opposition’s strategy.

The game turned into a balanced affair after the tactical shift, with both teams creating opportunities. ZFA broke the deadlock early in the second half through a goal by Naro Hari Shrestha. However, Mumbay FC quickly responded with a set-piece goal to level the score, setting the stage for a tense finish.

In a dramatic turn of events, Mumbay FC took the lead in the 92nd minute after ZFA faced a setback due to an injury. Nevertheless, ZFA managed to salvage a point in stoppage time with a stunning volley from SK Asif, ensuring a thrilling end to the match.

ZFA’s resilient performance keeps them at the top of Group B with four points, showcasing their determination and competitive spirit.
