Zoho’s Chief Scientist and Co‑founder Sridhar Vembu has called on Indians residing in the United States to consider returning to India to contribute to the country’s technological advancement. In an open letter, Vembu emphasized the importance of India’s technological progress in shaping its global reputation, prosperity, and security.
Vembu highlighted the success achieved by Indians in America but acknowledged a growing perception among Americans that Indians are responsible for taking away American jobs unfairly. He pointed out that Indians often find themselves marginalized in US politics, facing a choice between the “hard right” and the “woke left,” neither of which guarantees respect for Indians abroad.
Expressing the need for successful Indian professionals to return to India and help bolster its technological capabilities, Vembu emphasized the significance of developing technological prowess in India to showcase the country’s civilizational strength. He urged Indian Americans to contribute their expertise to guide India’s youthful population towards prosperity.
Vembu concluded his message by appealing to Indian Americans to consider returning to India, emphasizing the country’s need for their talent and leadership in technology. He underscored the importance of leveraging their experience and skills to support India’s growth with a strong sense of purpose.
