Lucknow, June 26 (IANS) A Rs 50,000 reward-carrying accused was killed in a police encounter in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district early on Friday, while his accomplice escaped under cover of darkness. A police sub-inspector was also injured by a gunshot during the exchange of fire, officials said.
