Mumbai, June 29 (IANS) Co-operation Minister, Babasaheb Patil, said in the Legislative Assembly on Monday that the government has taken a serious note of the rising instances of illegal moneylending across Maharashtra over the past few years and has initiated preparations to amend the existing laws.Since 2022, loans disbursed by moneylenders in the state have seen a surge of Rs 400 crore.
