An 18-year-old student, who had been preparing for the NEET exam, tragically passed away in Kota, Rajasthan, after consuming poison. The incident took place in the Dadabari police station area late at night. Despite immediate medical attention, the student could not be saved and succumbed during treatment at a private hospital.

The student, originally from Madhya Pradesh, had been residing in Kota for the past three months for coaching purposes. Authorities reported that after ingesting the toxic substance, the student started vomiting and expressed regret, seeking assistance. Her landlord and peers promptly rushed her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Subsequently, her body underwent a postmortem examination before being handed over to her family.

Station House Officer Baldev Ram revealed that the student had been in Kota to prepare for the medical entrance exam. Upon receiving the tragic news, her family members arrived from Madhya Pradesh. Investigations are ongoing, with the police awaiting the postmortem report to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The student’s brother disclosed that she had previously stayed in Kota for NEET coaching and had returned three months ago voluntarily. He emphasized that she was not experiencing academic pressure and was performing satisfactorily in her assessments. The family, taken aback by the sudden turn of events, expressed bewilderment over the situation and rushed to Kota upon learning about the incident.
