A 24-year-old female employee at a private medical college and hospital in Tripura was discovered dead under mysterious circumstances on the institution’s premises, sparking concerns. The Tripura government’s Home Department has initiated a magisterial inquiry into the incident, with a report due in 15 days.
The woman, who previously worked as a caretaker at the medical college and was recently assigned to its examination cell, was found deceased at Shantiniketan Medical College and Hospital in Agartala. Following the discovery, police and administrative investigations were launched to determine the cause of her death.
Authorities have collected circumstantial evidence and are reviewing CCTV footage from various locations within the college campus. While the deceased’s family suspects foul play and alleges murder, police are exploring all angles and awaiting post-mortem and forensic reports to ascertain the true circumstances of her demise.
