Around 40 tourists from Maharashtra’s Pimpri-Chinchwad area, including former Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) corporator Suman Netke, who were stranded in Dubai due to travel disruptions, have safely returned home. Their return brought relief to their worried families who had appealed to the authorities for assistance. After flight services resumed, necessary arrangements were made for their safe journey back to India.
The returning tourists were warmly welcomed by emotional family members upon their arrival in India late on Thursday night. Expressing gratitude, the relatives thanked the authorities for ensuring the safe return of their loved ones. Netke mentioned that both the Dubai government and local residents provided reassurance and support during their challenging stay in Dubai.
During their time in Dubai, the stranded tourists received continuous updates and alerts from the government, eventually being informed that they were in a safe zone. Netke described the experience as a mix of emotions, with moments of fear and relief. She highlighted the support and care extended by the Dubai community, emphasizing the sense of safety and comfort they felt during the ordeal.
