Bollywood star Aamir Khan recently revealed that he prefers not to meddle in his elder son Junaid Khan’s professional journey. In a conversation with comedian Kapil Sharma, Aamir shared how Junaid has been forging his own path in the entertainment industry without seeking his father’s assistance. Junaid independently trained, auditioned, and decided to progress on his own terms.
Aamir expressed, “No, I don’t read Junaid’s scripts. He doesn’t even want me to interfere in his career.” Junaid pursued theater education in Los Angeles for two years, performed in plays for a year, and later established a theater in Mumbai. Aamir mentioned that initially, nobody knew Junaid was his son as he auditioned for roles without revealing his identity.
Reflecting on Junaid’s debut project, Aamir shared, “One day I got a call from Aditya Chopra informing me about casting Junaid in the film ‘Maharaj’. He excelled in his role and built his career independently. As a father, he never sought any favors from me. I encouraged him to buy a car multiple times.” Aamir also expressed his fondness for embracing his children, including Junaid, despite his towering height.
Meanwhile, Junaid Khan starred alongside Sai Pallavi in the recent release ‘Ek Din’, reuniting Aamir Khan with director Mansoor Khan. The film, produced under Aamir Khan Productions, is titled ‘Ek Din’, directed by Sunil Pandey, and jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit. It is currently showing in theaters.
