Bollywood star Aamir Khan recently visited singer Arijit Singh in his hometown of Murshidabad. This visit followed Singh’s announcement of retiring from playback singing. A video shared by the makers of the film ‘Ek Din’ showcased Aamir at Singh’s residence, where he urged the singer to reconsider his decision.
Aamir Khan’s visit to Murshidabad was to record the title track of the film and to persuade Singh to continue his singing career. The actor’s efforts to convince Singh were successful, as Singh agreed to lend his voice to ‘Ek Din’. The film, produced under Aamir Khan Productions, is a collaboration between Aamir Khan and filmmaker Mansoor Khan, set for a theatrical release on May 1, 2026.
The reunion of Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan marks a significant comeback of their creative partnership in Hindi cinema. Their past collaborations have resulted in iconic films like ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’ and ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’. Aamir’s personal visit to Singh’s hometown and his four-day stay with Singh and his family played a crucial role in convincing Singh to return to playback singing.
