Abhay Singh showcased his talent at the 24th National Junior Athletics Federation Competition in Tumkur, Karnataka. He secured victories in both the 100m and 200m events, setting new records. Singh’s exceptional performance included breaking the national record in the 200m with a time of 20.82 seconds, surpassing the previous record set in 2021.
Several athletes at the competition also achieved the Asian junior qualification mark in their respective events. Basant excelled in the men’s high jump, setting a new meet record of 2.21m. Mogali Venkatram clinched victory in the 800m race, surpassing both the national and meet records. Poonam set a new meet record in the women’s javelin throw with a distance of 51.64m.
The final day of the competition witnessed outstanding performances, with Sadhana Ravi winning the women’s triple jump with a meet record of 12.97m. The event saw numerous athletes setting new records and achieving remarkable feats, highlighting their talent and dedication.
