Actor Farman Haider, known for his role as Shivaay in ‘Jagadhatri’, finds the holy month of Ramadan to be a time of spiritual and mental reset. Despite the physical demands of fasting, especially during long shooting hours, he gains inner strength from the experience. Haider explained that fasting enhances his focus and intention, making dialogue delivery and action scenes more about mental clarity.
During Ramadan, Haider’s day starts with Sehri before sunrise, where he consumes a simple and healthy meal like a protein smoothie or curd with rice. He then continues shooting on set, breaking his fast with dates and water during Iftaar, followed by light snacks. Maintaining a balanced diet is crucial for him to work comfortably, sometimes opting for home-cooked meals or food arranged by the production team.
Reflecting on the significance of Ramadan, Haider emphasized the values of discipline, gratitude, and self-reflection that the month instills. He views fasting as a reminder to slow down, reconnect with his faith, and appreciate even the smallest blessings. Haider highlighted the unity and sense of togetherness that Iftaar brings, where work pauses, and humanity takes precedence over deadlines, fostering a feeling of calm and blessedness.
‘Jagadhatri’, featuring Farman Haider, airs on Zee TV.
