Actor Finn Wolfhard, best known for his role in the popular series ‘Stranger Things’, is gearing up to launch his second solo album in the upcoming summer. His debut album, ‘Happy Birthday’, was released in 2025, following which he toured the US, UK, and Europe. The new album, titled ‘Fire From The Hip’, is scheduled for release on July 10 and is expected to showcase a more dynamic side of his indie-rock roots.
Finn recorded the tracks for his sophomore album in February, focusing on themes of cultural memory, humor, and reflection. Drawing inspiration from iconic rock records of the ’60s and ’70s, such as The Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Street and Beggars Banquet, he aims to infuse more nostalgia and collaboration into this new project. The actor-turned-musician expressed his gratitude towards his friends for their creative contributions that shaped the album.
Having been influenced by The Beatles, Finn Wolfhard, who previously led Calpurnia and was part of the indie-rock duo The Aubreys, credits the legendary band for igniting his passion for music. In a recent statement, he highlighted the significance of his latest music video project, where he directed the video for George Harrison’s classic song ‘Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)’. Collaborating with Canadian artists, the stop-motion video was a labor-intensive effort involving 20 artists and was a career milestone for Finn.
