Actor Gurmeet Choudhary shared on the show “Tum Ho Naa – Ghar Ki Superstar” that he had always dreamt of marrying a Bengali girl. Reflecting on their first meeting, Gurmeet and his wife, Debina Bonnerjee, reminisced with host Rajeev Khandelwal. Rajeev playfully teased Gurmeet about their initial interaction, suggesting destiny had a hand in their union.
Gurmeet surprised everyone by confessing that since childhood, he had wanted to marry a Bengali girl. He expressed, “I have always been keen on marriage. I will marry the girl I love, but she must be Bengali.” Gurmeet explained that he found Bengali girls beautiful and talented, admiring the emphasis on academics and extracurricular activities in Bengal.
During the conversation, Gurmeet also recalled his tough times and how Debina stood by him when he had nothing. He mentioned, “Debina came into my life when I was at my lowest point.
