Vishal’s latest project, “Homebound,” did not secure an Oscar nomination despite its release in January. The film, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, follows the story of two childhood friends, played by Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, as they strive to pass the national police exam. Alongside Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, the movie aimed to make a mark at the Oscars, but faced stiff competition. Despite missing out on the nomination, Vishal expressed gratitude for the film’s journey and the recognition it received on a global scale.
Reflecting on the experience, Vishal expressed his humility at being shortlisted among the final 15 films out of 86 entries. Coming from a humble background, Vishal emphasized the significance of belief, perseverance, and dedication in achieving success.
