Actress Jayati Bhatia recently shared the difficulties she faces while portraying the manipulative character Sharda in the TV series ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’. She revealed that immersing herself in Sharda’s dark persona for long hours daily has been a demanding test of her acting skills.
Having embodied the negative role for over one-and-a-half years, Jayati expressed that this journey has been both challenging and rewarding in her career. She emphasized that as the character’s negativity intensified with the plot twists, maintaining that mindset for 12–14 hours a day has pushed her boundaries as an artist.
Despite the intense portrayal, Jayati mentioned that she consciously detaches herself from Sharda once filming concludes. She highlighted that her co-stars understand the distinction between her real self and the character, fostering a fun and jovial atmosphere off-screen.
Jayati also shared her perspective on audience reactions towards Sharda, viewing criticism of the character as a form of validation for her acting prowess. She explained that audience engagement and emotional responses motivate her to depict Sharda with even greater conviction and sincerity, considering it a significant reward of portraying a powerful negative character.
The ongoing storyline of ‘Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile’ showcases Sharda orchestrating another scheme leading to heartbreak for Raghav and Reet by secretly abducting their newborn.
