Actress Malvi Malhotra is set to star alongside actor-singer King B Chouhan in the Punjabi film “Dama Dum Mast Kalandar,” which she describes as tackling a crucial social matter. Malvi expressed her enthusiasm for the project, emphasizing its significance in shedding light on important societal issues, which she believes will deeply resonate with viewers. The film’s characters, according to Malvi, are well-portrayed, adding a special touch to the production.

Known for her work in television and regional cinema, including projects like “Udaan,” “Hotel Milan,” and “Zorawar Di Jacqueline,” Malvi revealed that her character in the film is named Jasmine, characterized as outspoken and bold, traits not commonly seen in Punjabi cinema. She saw this role as a unique opportunity that she eagerly embraced.

“Dama Dum Mast Kalandar,” scheduled for a theatrical release on May 22, is described by Malvi as a film centered around self-awareness and serving a purpose. The movie encapsulates themes of maternal love, patriotism, and societal responsibility, adding layers of depth to its narrative. Malvi highlighted the film’s aim to confront viewers with realities often ignored in daily life, urging them to acknowledge and act upon important issues.

Directed by Sukhvir Singh and produced by Starmoon Film Productions in collaboration with Chakora Productions, the film weaves a tale of friendship and resilience, blending humor with emotional depth. The ensemble cast includes Anita Devgan, Rupinder Rupi, and other talented actors in pivotal roles, promising a compelling cinematic experience.
