Actress Meerra Chopraa expressed worry about safety standards in app-based cab services following a distressing early morning ride that left her unsettled. Meerra, who is connected to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, shared her ordeal on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. She recounted booking a cab for six hours but encountering an unclean vehicle with a drowsy driver at the start of her journey.
Meerra highlighted that the car was dirty and emitted a foul odor, leading her to notice the driver’s extreme drowsiness while driving. Concerned about her safety, she decided to end the ride after just 20 minutes and booked another cab. Despite discontinuing the trip due to safety issues, she was billed for the entire six-hour reservation, which further upset her.
The actress criticized the poor safety standards in the country’s public transport system, emphasizing the compromised nature of such services. Meerra condemned the focus on profit-making over ensuring passenger safety, labeling the situation as “disgusting.” She also shared details about her career in Tamil, Telugu, and Bollywood films, including her notable performances and productions.
