Actress Zarina Wahab, gearing up for her film ‘The Raja Saab’, explained her selective approach towards Hindi cinema. At a recent event in Mumbai, she highlighted her inclination towards working in Telugu movies due to the strong family-oriented content they offer. Wahab, with over 40 years in the industry, emphasized her proficiency in Telugu and the fame her current Telugu project is bringing her.
She expressed her gratitude towards both the Telugu and Hindi film industries for her enduring career. Wahab acknowledged the family-centric nature of South Indian cinema, contrasting it with the perceived decline of family themes in Hindi films. Despite her success in Bollywood, she is actively involved in multiple Telugu projects alongside her work in Hindi cinema.
Known for her roles in films like ‘Agar’, ‘Arth’, and ‘Dil Dhadakane Do’, Zarina Wahab has transitioned into character roles across various languages. Married to actor Aditya Pancholi, she is the mother of actors Sooraj Pancholi and Sana Pancholi. ‘The Raja Saab’, in which she stars alongside Sanjay Dutt and others, is set to release on January 9, 2026.
