Adani Electricity, in partnership with the Mumbai Traffic Police Department, recently observed the 37th National Road Safety Month from January 1-31. The initiative involved conducting specialized awareness sessions focusing on defensive driving, signal compliance, and responsible road conduct. The month-long campaign culminated with a collective safety pledge.
As part of their CSR effort Project ‘Utthan’, Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation engaged students in Mumbai under the theme “Suraksha Hamari Zimmedari.” Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the project utilized interactive activities such as mock zebra crossings and traffic light games to instill crucial safety habits and a sense of responsible citizenship among the youth.
Adani Electricity recently secured an A+ national ranking for the second consecutive year in the 14th ‘Annual Integrated Rating and Ranking of Power Distribution Utilities’ by the Power Finance Corporation (PFC). This recognition underscores the company’s consistent performance in delivering reliable power supply, reducing losses, and maintaining strong financial practices.
In its centenary year of serving Mumbai, Adani Electricity reaffirms its dedication to providing essential services and upholding public trust. The power distribution sector in India has shown significant profitability for FY25, with a combined profit after tax of Rs 2,701 crore, marking a substantial improvement from the previous fiscal year’s loss of Rs 27,022 crore. Adani Electricity’s success is attributed to its high billing efficiency exceeding 95%, near-complete collection efficiency, financial discipline, operational reliability, and the effective use of data analytics and smart metering, positioning it as a role model in urban power distribution in India.
Adani Foundation, with the support of Adani Electricity, recently commemorated National Girl Child Day with students from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools in Mumbai. The event, held on January 24 as part of Project ‘Utthan’, aimed to promote the welfare and empowerment of girl children.
