Adani Power announced a significant 47.2% increase in consolidated profit after tax for Q1 FY27, reaching Rs 4,867 crore compared to Rs 3,305 crore in Q1 FY26. The company attributed this growth to effective management of finance costs despite operational expansion and ongoing capital investments.
In the same quarter, Adani Power saw a robust 26.6% rise in total revenue, amounting to Rs 17,936 crore, up from Rs 14,167 crore in the previous year. This increase aligned with volume growth and power selling rates.
Furthermore, the company achieved a notable 21.6% growth in EBITDA for Q1 FY27, totaling Rs 6,983 crore compared to Rs 5,744 crore in Q1 FY26. This marked the company’s highest-ever quarterly performance, showcasing strong core profitability amidst increased fuel expenses.
Adani Power reported a 16.9% surge in consolidated power sales volume, reaching 28.8 billion units in Q1 FY27, driven by enhanced operating capacity and rising power demand. The company’s CEO, SB Khyalia, highlighted the firm’s efficient operations and cost-competitive portfolio, emphasizing the progress towards expanding the power portfolio to 45GW.
