India’s Diksha Dagar, along with Avani Prashanth and Pranavi Urs, will compete in the Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links starting Thursday. The tournament, co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour, features 144 players from 33 countries and offers a pathway to the LPGA Tour with a win.

The LET makes a comeback after a two-week hiatus, hosting the event at Dundonald Links for the fifth consecutive year. Diksha enters the competition in good form, boasting three top-10 finishes in her last four outings, including a tied ninth at the Jabra Ladies Open, tied third at the Dutch Ladies Open, and tied seventh at the Hulencourt Women’s Open.

Currently ranked eighth in the LET Order of Merit, Diksha’s consistent performances this season have seen her secure five top-10 finishes and three more top-21 results. A strong showing in Scotland could further solidify her position in the rankings. Her best finish at Dundonald Links was third place in 2023, while she settled for tied 25th last year.

Defending champion Lottie Woad, now World No. 5, returns to the venue where she clinched victory on her professional debut last year. Woad, who has added another LPGA title to her name, reminisced about her success, emphasizing the special memories associated with the tournament.

The tournament is expected to play differently this year due to warmer conditions in the UK. Woad will tee off alongside World No. 1 Nelly Korda and England’s Charley Hull in the initial rounds, setting the stage for an exciting competition.
