India’s top para table tennis player Nurjahan Noorali, supported by Adani Sportsline Garv Hai, is participating in a crucial international series comprising four tournaments across Europe and Asia. These events are vital for her quest to qualify for the 2026 Asian Para Games in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, Japan, this October.
Nurjahan, currently ranked World No. 27 in Class 7 by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) World Para Table Tennis rankings, has a clear objective for this phase. She kicked off her campaign at the ITTF World Para Challenger Podgorica in Montenegro from April 29 to May 2, followed by upcoming tournaments in Slovenia and Taiwan.
Ranked eighth in Asia, Nurjahan is aiming for a top 6 finish to secure her qualification, a significant milestone in her career. Overcoming polio at a young age, she made a remarkable comeback to the sport in 2022, achieving notable success at national championships and earning the top spot in India in her category.
Her employer, Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), has been supportive, granting her the flexibility and leave required to focus on training and international competitions. Nurjahan’s preparation is further enhanced by structured assistance, including tournament selection guidance, coaching support, performance monitoring, and financial aid for international events, enabling her to compete at a high level consistently.
“This phase is critical for my qualification. With unwavering support and the right training environment, I am determined to break into the Top 6 in Asia,” Nurjahan expressed.
