Afghanistan A secured a thrilling four-run victory over India A in a rain-affected match during the ‘A’ Teams Tri-series. India A, batting first, posted a challenging total of 349 runs, led by strong performances from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Prabhsimran Singh.

Despite early setbacks, India A’s captain Tilak Varma and vice-captain Ruturaj Gaikwad steadied the innings with a solid partnership. Suryansh Shedge’s quickfire innings further boosted India’s total to 349/9 in 49 overs, with Abdullah Ahmadzai impressing for Afghanistan A with five wickets.

In the chase, Afghanistan A aggressively pursued a revised target of 294 runs in 38 overs. Imran Mir and Bahir Shah’s partnership proved crucial as they guided Afghanistan A to 177/2 in 25.5 overs before rain interruptions led to the match being abandoned, with Afghanistan A declared winners under the DLS method.
