AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami stated that the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election would signify the conclusion of the Karunanidhi family’s political supremacy in the state. He criticized the ruling DMK, likening its operations to a family-controlled corporate entity.
Palaniswami, addressing a campaign rally in Tiruchirappalli, emphasized that the people of Tamil Nadu had already made the decision to end the Karunanidhi family’s political influence. He asserted that the AIADMK–BJP alliance was a robust coalition aimed at ousting the DMK from power.
Describing the alliance as a convergence of parties with diverse ideologies but a shared goal of defeating the ruling party, Palaniswami highlighted the achievements during the AIADMK’s previous tenure from 2011 to 2021. He criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, stating that the DMK’s history of unfulfilled promises would not restore public trust.
Palaniswami underscored the AIADMK’s commitment to fulfilling its pledges to the public, contrasting it with the DMK’s track record. He questioned the DMK’s alliance ideology, pointing out the unity among diverse parties in the AIADMK–BJP coalition to challenge the DMK in the elections.
