Launching a scathing political attack on the ruling DMK, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami asserted that the NDA is poised with the right moment, place, and leadership to regain power in Tamil Nadu. Speaking at the NDA’s campaign rally near Chennai, Palaniswami expressed confidence in a resounding victory for the alliance in the upcoming Assembly elections.
The rally, which kickstarted the NDA’s campaign in the state, saw the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding significant political weight to the event. Various senior alliance leaders, including PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss, AMMK general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran, and others from NDA constituents, also graced the occasion.
Palaniswami, drawing a symbolic parallel upon Prime Minister Modi’s arrival, emphasized the significance of unity and timing for assured victory. He criticized the DMK government and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, accusing them of bringing only hardship to the people during their tenure.
Asserting that the upcoming election would be the DMK’s final one, Palaniswami confidently stated that the NDA would secure a decisive win, aiming to claim 210 seats and form the next government. Highlighting the AIADMK’s achievements during its governance, he pointed out the significant development projects facilitated by a cooperative relationship with the Centre.
