Bollywood star Akshay Kumar participated in yoga asanas alongside Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and other attendees during the International Day of Yoga celebrations. Dressed in athleisure attire, Kumar engaged in the yoga session on June 21, which marks the annual observance of International Day of Yoga. The event aims to promote wellness and healthy living, with this year’s theme focusing on “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” to emphasize the benefits of yoga for physical and emotional well-being in older individuals.
Since 2015, when India’s proposal was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to designate June 21 as the International Day of Yoga, the initiative has gained global recognition. In a separate development, Akshay Kumar is preparing for the release of his upcoming movie ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. During the trailer launch event in the city, Kumar addressed queries from the media regarding the use of the term “flop actor” in the film, emphasizing that such dialogues should be viewed in the context of the movie rather than as personal criticism.
At the same event, Akshay Kumar reminisced about his past relationship with actress Raveena Tandon in the 1990s, highlighting the changes over time as Tandon has transitioned from being a leading actress to playing the role of a mother on screen. Kumar specifically mentioned Tandon’s daughter, Rasha, illustrating the evolution in their respective careers.
