Bollywood star Akshay Kumar recently appeared on the reality game show “Wheel of Fortune” where he discussed his perspective on food and tradition. During the show, a contestant shared an incident about eating Chicken Tangdi with a fork and knife during a date, which left her partner puzzled. Akshay, known for his preference for vegetarian food, humorously mentioned that if he were to eat Chicken Tangdi, he would choose to eat it with his hands for a more enjoyable experience.
Akshay emphasized the joy of eating with hands, stating that the use of metal utensils takes away the essence of the experience. He highlighted the importance of washing hands properly before eating with hands, as it enhances the overall taste of the food. The actor vividly described a scenario where one mixes rice with curd and dal, adds jeera aloo, bhindi, and gobi, blends them gently with hands, and shares bites with a partner.
In a previous episode of the show, Akshay had expressed his fondness for Gujarati cuisine, praising the flavors of dishes like undhiyu and tuar ki daal. He emphasized the unique taste of Indian food, particularly Gujarati thali, stating that it cannot be compared to any other cuisine. The “Wheel of Fortune” airs on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 09:00 PM and is also available for streaming on Sony LIV.
