Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, present at the Cannes Film Festival, has endorsed the song “Maskara” from the upcoming movie “Main Vaapas Aaunga.” Alia shared a video of herself preparing in her dressing room, applying mascara and humming to the track. The song captures the essence of young love, portraying the characters Jiya and Keenu in a playful yet vulnerable light.
The track, sung by Vedang and Nilanjana Ghosh, delves into the timeless emotions of young romance. Sharvari’s character, Jiya, exudes sparkle and mischief, dancing through the feelings of love. In contrast, Vedang’s character, Keenu, embodies softness and vulnerability, understanding Jiya’s playful demeanor. Vedang expressed his deep connection to the song, highlighting how it allowed him to explore his character in a unique way, blending acting with music.
Vedang praised the experience of working with A. R. Rahman and Imtiaz Ali, emphasizing the depth and authenticity they brought to the project.
