Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, along with her sister Shaheen Bhatt, will be producing a coming-of-age romantic comedy film titled “Don’t Be Shy” in collaboration with Prime Video. Alia expressed her excitement, mentioning the film’s sincerity and coming-of-age theme that resonated with them. The movie, produced under their banner Eternal Sunshine Productions and co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani, is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji.
The film revolves around Shyamili ‘Shy’ Das, a 20-year-old girl whose well-planned life takes an unexpected turn, leading to a series of unforeseen events. Nikhil Madhok, Director & Head of Originals at Prime Video, India, praised the project for its fun and heartwarming nature, highlighting Alia’s ability to choose emotionally rich and relatable stories.
