Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah led a ‘Lok Darbar’ in the Sabarmati Assembly area within the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, engaging with representatives of residential societies and addressing local civic concerns. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was present at the event. Discussions revolved around issues like roads, drainage systems, and ongoing development projects, with residents appreciating the government’s support for street vendors.
Shah highlighted the government’s financial aid to street vendors, emphasizing their role in the informal economy and mentioning the assistance provided to vendors in the Gandhinagar constituency. He expressed gratitude for the community’s support and outlined plans to further enhance development in the region, particularly focusing on transforming Ranip West into a key urban center. Shah’s goal is to make Gandhinagar the most developed constituency in the country, with various infrastructure projects already in progress.
The minister detailed initiatives such as establishing village libraries, distributing books in rural areas, and welfare programs like the “toy bank” for Anganwadi children. He also mentioned the increase in green cover and ongoing efforts in water conservation and health schemes for senior citizens. Shah encouraged residents to engage in environmental initiatives and work collectively towards making Gandhinagar a “green constituency.” Chief Minister Patel praised Shah’s dedication to development and public welfare activities in the region, underscoring the constituency’s pride in having him as its representative.
