Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah delivered a motivating speech at the ‘Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit’ in Gwalior, celebrating the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Shah praised the state’s progress under the current government, highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s role as a key player in national growth. He specifically lauded Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for his initiatives promoting balanced regional development across the state.
Shah commended CM Yadav’s innovative strategies, such as organizing investment events and groundbreaking ceremonies in various divisions, to ensure equal growth opportunities and tap into the potential of all regions. He emphasized the importance of establishing industries strategically to leverage the state’s geographical advantages. Shah also mentioned the potential for cotton production in certain regions and proposed setting up local processing units to boost farmer incomes and connect to wider markets efficiently.
The day witnessed the laying of foundation stones for 1,655 industrial units valued at over Rs 2 lakh crore, with the potential to generate 193,000 jobs. This significant investment push was seen as a tribute to Vajpayee’s vision of good governance and national progress. The summit, held in Vajpayee’s birthplace, reflected his principles of self-reliance and inclusive growth, resonating with the event’s theme of progress and development.
Shah expressed optimism for continued support from the central government, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a prosperous India.
