Union Home Minister Amit Shah commemorated former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 101st birth anniversary in Gwalior, hailing him as a key figure in India’s modern development. Speaking at the Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit, Shah credited Vajpayee for offering a credible political alternative grounded in national interest and cultural pride.
Shah expressed his gratitude for being in Gwalior, Vajpayee’s hometown, where he transformed into a prominent national leader. He emphasized the pivotal role played by the Gwalior-Chambal region in shaping Madhya Pradesh’s progress.

Before his address, Shah virtually initiated 1,118 new industrial units with investments exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore and inaugurated projects worth approximately Rs 5 lakh crore in the Gwalior-Chambal region. He lauded Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for his dedicated efforts in fostering industrial growth in Madhya Pradesh, particularly through the Regional Industry Conclaves.
Shah commended Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for successfully adapting the Global Investors Summit model at the regional level through the Regional Industry Conclaves. He praised the initiative for promoting balanced regional development and attracting substantial investments to the state.
