Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the “Shaheed Veer Gundadhur Seva Dera” in Netanar village of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district. This public utility center is located within the Central Reserve Police Force camp premises. It marks Shah’s first visit to Bastar post the eradication of LWE in the region.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma, State President Kiran Deo, and Minister Kedar Kashyap were present at the event. Shah paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for peace, security, and progress in Bastar. He emphasized the significance of the initiative for development and self-reliance.
During the visit, Shah met the families of soldiers Kalendra Prasad Nayak and Pawan Kumar Mandavi, who were martyred in a Naxal attack in Bijapur. He expressed condolences, assured administrative and financial support, and interacted with security personnel to boost morale. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also honored the martyred soldiers, highlighting the state’s commitment to their families’ welfare and security.
